Google Wave

Have you heard of Google Wave????
This is a short description of what it is from
http://wave.google.com/

"Google Wave is a new tool for communication and collaboration on the web."

Wave is a new communication platform that combines some of the features of Gmail with social networking and lifestreaming tools like Facebook and Twitter.
A "wave" is equal parts conversation and document, where people can communicate and work together with richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more.
The idea was to figure out what email would look like if it were invented from scratch today.
Google plans to start sending out 100,000 beta invitations to users who want to help test Google Wave starting on September 30th.
You can sign up for more information about the limited launch at wave.google.com.

Google Wave has three layers: the product, the platform, and the protocol:
The Google Wave product is the web application people will use to access and edit waves. It's an HTML 5 app, built on Google Web Toolkit. It includes a rich text editor and other functions like desktop drag-and-drop (which, for example, lets you drag a set of photos right into a wave).
Google Wave can also be considered a platform with a rich set of open APIs that allow developers to embed waves in other web services, and to build new extensions that work inside waves.
The Google Wave protocol is the underlying format for storing and the means of sharing waves, and includes the "live" concurrency control, which allows edits to be reflected instantly across users and services. The protocol is designed for open federation, such that anyone's Wave services can interoperate with each other and with the Google Wave service. To encourage adoption of the protocol, we intend to open source the code behind Google Wave.

Do you know about Froogle?

Froogle also called as Google Product Search is a new “product”-based search engine being developed by Google. It is recently launched in beta phase. Froogle finds the most relevant products based on your search terms.

http://www.google.com/products

Froogle does a good job of finding products that matches your search.
You can do a search from chocolates to piano, from dog treats to cd writer.
The biggest advantage is that it shows the products with the price so it makes us easy to find the cost of a product
You can also sort the products based on relevance or price.
You can also click “Show grid view” to see the results in a more compact format
The main page shows the items that were recently searched.

Though it’s still in the beta phase, Froogle has enormous potential.

Speaking Robot

Furby, the fur-covered robot that specializes in speech, made its debut in the holiday season of 1998. Furby appeared to learn English as it slowly advanced beyond its exclusively Furbish native language—a stream of indiscernible, sometimes grating sounds. The idea was a hit—the toy sold more than 40 million units in its lifetime and can be considered the first successful attempt to produce and sell a domestically aimed robot. Furby was a top-selling toy for three full years and was available on store shelves until 2007

Bread Crumbs

When i heard the words "BREAD CRUMBS" the first thing that came into my mind was eating bread..
So what it is really???

Breadcrumbs or breadcrumb trail is a navigation aid used in user interfaces.
It gives users a way to keep track of their location within programs or documents.

eg : Home->Products->Mobile->Nokia->N72

The term comes from the trail of breadcrumbs left by Hansel and Gretel in the popular fairytale.
